Instructor speaking to a small adult class

Why we exist

Too many traders skip the review step. A candle looks strong, size goes on, and only later does someone ask whether momentum actually confirmed the break. LeafBase Institute exists to slow that moment down and teach a repeatable review.

Origin

The institute began as informal Friday chart nights near Silom, where brokers, fund juniors, and independent traders compared marked-up printouts. Demand for structure led to paid weekend workshops, then to the Momentum Review Intensive that remains our flagship.

How we teach

We keep cohorts small. Wall charts beat slides. Critique is spoken out loud so hesitation becomes part of the craft. Thailand’s market hours and SET names appear often in examples, alongside liquid global indexes when a lesson needs a cleaner tape.

People

Faculty are practitioners who still mark charts for their own desks and who can explain a fading thrust without dressing it up as certainty. Administrative staff handle enrollment, materials, and classroom setup so instructors stay on the board.

Values

  • Clarity over bravado in every review
  • Respect for capital — we do not cheer reckless size
  • Local hospitality: tea on the side table, phones away during critique
  • Honest limits: we teach judgment, not forecasts
